Preschool week of October 15th

"L" is for library and lions. This week in library we read We're Going on a Lion Hunt" adapted by Margery Cuyler. This is a great story to read aloud and then act out- there are many repetitive phrases which helps the kids retell the story with me. The 3's also read Polar Bear, Polar Bear by Bill Martin Jr. and If You're Happy and You Know it (jungle edition) by James Warhola. The 4's were introduced to Remy the packrat who lives in the library. Remy is a puppet but we pretend he is real- he loves cheese and reading books. One year one of my parents said their child told them there was a real rat in the library!! They LOVE Remy and enjoy it when he visits the library throughout the year. Most of the books have been returned on time and we are doing great with check-out procedures. Thank you for your help with this!! Have a great week!!
