PreK October 12th

As you will find out from reading my blog there are some books I LOVE to share with kids and this week is one of them. The prek storytown theme for the week is houses and I love to read The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig by Eugene Trivizas illustrated by Helen Oxenbury. This book is based on the story of the three little pigs but has some differences which leads to a discussion about the ways they are the same and different. We are finally getting into the swing of library- the kids know where to find non-fiction and fiction books and are using their shelf markers to mark where their book goes. Next week we will read one of my favorite fall books! If your child has an October birthday they received a birthday book club envelope in their Friday folder. For a $5 donation they can pick out a new book to give to the library for their birthday. This money helps me purchase new books for the library. Have a great weekend!
