This week the students will hop to the library to read some bunny books. The 3's read Bunnies on the Go by Rick Walton and then we had fun with a transportation flannelboard game. We also read one of my favorite books The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown. The 4's had fun reading and singing along with Little Bunny Foo Foo by Paul Brett Johnson. They are always surprised when the bunny is turned into a goon (which I tell them is a silly clown). Our second book was Muncha, Muncha, Muncha by Candace Fleming which tells the tale of a gardener and the three rabbits who go into his garden and eat his veggies. Keep on reading books for the cool reader ice cream promotion. Many of the students have read at least 10 books and this week I handed out the first group of 20 book awards. Three weeks left to finish 20 books! The ice cream parties will be the last week of April or the first week of May.
