Though not everyone visited the library this week due to a professional development day, we still had fun reading and singing about going to the farm. We sang Old Macdonald had a farm and read Barnyard Banter by Denise Fleming, Duck on a Bike by David Shannon and Old Macdonald had a Woodshop by Lisa Shulman. We also learned the rhyme Little Boy Blue and had fun looking for little boy blue under the haystacks. Studies have shown that singing nursery rhymes with your children helps build their language and literacy development. Keep on reading and sharing with your children!!
