PREK MARCH 9

This week in library we talked about the job of the illustrator and worked on illustrating the class book they wrote over the last two months. I told them about the Caldecott Medal and showed them some of the books that have won this award for the best illustrated children's book for each year. Some illustrators use only one or two colors to illustrate the book, some use pencil drawings and some use watercolor and ink. After illustrating their page of the class book we went to computers and checked out books. March is reading month at the ECC. Every child who reads 20 books during the month of March will receive an invite to the ice cream party in the library on Friday, April 23rd, during library class. Information went home in the Friday folders last week but if you have any questions please email me or call me here at the ECC. Have a great weekend!!
