Today was the first day of school and the first day of library! The 3's and the 4's visited the library today to listen to some books about school. First I read Clifford's First Day of School by Norman Bridwell. Kids love the Clifford series of books- he gets into mischief but everything always turns out all right. This would be a good series to look for at your local library- one way to get kids excited about reading is to find books that interest them. The Clifford series of books were written 30 years ago but now they have updated the series by publishing a series of Clifford early readers. The 4 year old classes also listened to Babies on the Bus by Karen Katz and then we sang "The Wheels on the Bus". Next week we will read more school stories!!
