In the 3's class we read monkey stories. Monkey and Me by Emily Gravett was a big hit- the kids enjoyed the repeated phrases throughout the book- they could read it with me. We also read about Ten Naughty Little Monkeys.
In the 4's we read one of my favorite books The Mitten by Jan Brett. To enrich their enjoyment of the story I acted it out using a mitten and some stuffed animals. Another fun id
ea to do at home would be to act the story out using a blanket and have your child put the animals under the blanket.
