This week in library we had fun exploring counting books. When you read counting books or say counting rhymes with your child you are teaching them skills that also build a solid foundation for reading. Recognizing numbers goes hand in hand with recognizing letters and learning letter knowledge. With the 3's we counted along with "Ten in the Bed" by Jane Cabrera and "Five Green and Speckled Frogs". The 4's had fun "Counting Crocodiles" by Judy Sierra and reading "My Little Sister Ate One Hare" by Bill Grossman.
