PreK May 19th

This week in library we read some books about summertime activities- going to the beach and taking a boat ride. We read The Sand Castle Contest by Robert Munsch. In this story a boy enters a sand castle contest at the beach. A fun, silly summer read! Our next story was Mr. Gumpy's Outing by John Burningham. This book has so many interesting words, like trampled and squabbled. Reading books with unfamilar words helps your childs vocabulary grow. Even if they (or you) don’t understand every word, you can get the idea from the story itself. That’s one of the wonderful things about books, they have so many interesting words. Today was our last check-out for the year. Please return all library books in a week!
