Preschool 3's & 4's Week of Jan 3

Welcome back! It is always nice to have time during Christmas to spend with my family but I enjoy coming back to school and seeing the kids. In library this week the 3's read books about hibernation. We read Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson, a non-fiction hibernation book and Can You Growl Like a Bear? by John Butler. Bear Snores On is a great book to share with this age group because it has repetitive phrasing and the kids soon start repeating it with me. Ask your child if they can remember one animal that sleeps all winter. The 4's read books about big and small animals. We started with Let's Go On a Lion Hunt adapted by Margery Cuyler. We then pretended to go on a lion hunt. We also read Who Is The Beast by Keith Baker. Ask your child who was the beast in the book. Next week we will be reading some winter books!
