Today in library we read another of my favorite books- Katie and the Big Snow by Virginia Lee Burton. The prek units this week were winter and transportation so this book easily covered both topics!! In this book there is a big snowstorm (we talked about blizzards) and Katy saves the day so the people in the town can get out of their homes. After the story we talked about the characters of the book and the problem and solution of the story. We continued working on our class stories- there are some very creative classes this year! Next week (maybe) we will finish our stories and then we can start illustrating them.
