Happy Halloween!! This week we read some halloween books- the kids told me they wanted scary books and I chose some (not too scary) fun books. The 4's read The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams. A little old lady who is not afraid of anything must deal with a pumpkin head, a tall black hat, and other spooky objects that follow her through the dark woods trying to scare her. At the end of the book the objects make a scarecrow so they have someone to scare. This book has many repetitive phrases and is great to retell with your child!! The 3's read The Itsy Bitsy Spider and Clifford's First Halloween. Thank you for returning all library books on time! If you ever come to school to drop off your child and realize that you forgot their book at home, stop into the library and let me know- if you can bring it at the end of the day they can still get a library book!
