T is for trains and toys. This week in library we talked about things that go and the toys we play with. The 3 year old listened to the classic "The Little Engine That Could" by Wally Piper. We then did the flannelboard "6 little trains" and talked about other things that go- trucks, boats, planes, cars and busses. The 4's listened to "Too Many Toys" by David Shannon and then we pretended to be toys- it was fun to act like robots, horses, princesses, monster trucks and rocket ships! Then I read "I Lost My Bear" by Jules Feiffer- ask them where the little girl in the story found her lost bear. Next week we will explore an "ocean" of books!
