PreK February 25th

This week in library we finished writing our class stories and we read a silly book Shark vs. Train by Chris Barton. In this book a little boy imagines what would happen in a shark and a train had a fight- in a pool? shark wins, on a seesaw? train wins. I chose this book because it is so much fun and the students are having so much fun using their imaginations writing their stories! Next week we will start illustrating our books. I told the students about the COOL Reader ice cream reading promotion and they all promised they would read 20 books. It is so much fun to hear their excitement about reading and to have ice cream with the finishers in April. Look for the information to come home in their Friday folders.
