This week in library we read the winner of the 2010 Caldecott Award- A Sick Day for Amos Mcgee by Philip Stead. This book went along with the zoo theme in the PreK classrooms and I couldn't wait to share it with the kids- since we have been talking about how important the pictures are to the story. I read their class stories and then they signed the front cover and they took their class book back to the classroom. They were very imaginative and we had fun working on them over the last 6 weeks. Next week we will celebrate St. Patrick's Day in the library!
