PreK March 3rd

This week we illustrated our class books during library. I showed them three books that have won the Caldecott medal for the best illustrations in a picture book and we talked about how pictures are an important part of the story. I read Where The Wild Things are by Maurice Sendak and we looked at the beautiful pen and ink drawings in the story. They did a great job with their illustrations and I hope you will get a chance sometime to read their book- which will be in their classroom. Several of my students have begun turning in their cool reader ice cream sheets. Keep up the good work!!
