Friday Sept. 27th

Today was our second week to check-out books. The children are quickly learning library procedures and are so excited to take a book home. Thank you to everyone who returned their child's book- if your child didn't return their book by Friday they were not allowed to check-out another book this week. If your child would prefer to keep their book a second week that is fine too! Usually if it has been two weeks without the book returned I will send home a reminder note. This week we talked about the fiction section of the library. Fiction books are stories written using the author's imagination- for example a dog driving a car, or a dinosaur going to school. Things that are fun to read but probably wouldn't happen. We read Froggy Plays Soccer written by Jonathan London and then I showed them where to find familiar series of books such as Clifford, Pete the Cat, Froggy and Dr, Seuss. Next week we will talk about non-fiction information books. Have a great weekend.
