Preschool October 14

L is for lions and library. This week in library all of the classes read "Going on a Lion Hunt" by Margery Cuyler and after reading we went on a lion hunt. One of my favorite ways to extend the learning is to retell the story after I have read it. The 3's then read "If You Are Happy and You Know It" and "Polar Bear Polar Bear" by Bill Martin Jr. The 4's listened to "I Took my Frog to the Library" by Eric Kimmel and then they met Remy the reading rat who lives in the library. Remy is a puppet but I tell them that he thinks he is real. Remy loves reading, books, cheese and shiny things. Thank you for continuing to return your library books on time!
